Domestic Violence First Step Case Manager

The First Step Case Manager will provide crisis services and short-term service coordination and follow-up to victims of domestic violence.  This position is responsible for the follow up of all lethality assessment protocol referrals; case manager will complete intakes with victims, providing case management, crisis counseling and shelter services where applicable. The goal of the intervention is to assist all domestic violence victims to increase their safety as well as appropriate resources. In addition, this case manager would be responsible for community events, partnering with local law enforcement, tracking data, coordinating home visits with officers, training community groups and first responders on Lethality Assessment Protocol and other domestic violence related trainings and hosting meetings.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or a related field preferred with a minimum of one year experience in community based case management. Applicant must have a current driver’s license with safe driving record.

  

Domestic Violence Shelter PRN Support Staff Day and Overnight Shifts– Carroll County

The DVSH PRN Support Staff is responsible for overseeing the house during evening hours and either of the following shifts, Friday and Saturday from 11p to 7a, Saturday and Sunday from 7a to 3p and Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 11pm with the possibility of covering during other shifts and/or holidays

This position will also be responsible for responding to 24 hour hotline calls and calls that come in through the Lethality Assessment Protocol phone, observing cameras, cleaning different areas of the house and to maintain the overall safety for clients in the DVSH and will work in collaboration with other case managers within the DVSH program to respond to the needs of victims and their families. Applicant must have a current driver’s license with safe driving record.

Family Violence Case Manager – Harford County

 The Family Violence Project case manager will provide crisis intervention services that emphasize safety planning, short-term and long term service coordination, and follow-up to victims of crime and family violence.  This position will offer support in connecting clients to vital resources, entitlements and benefits, as well as information about the criminal justice process, victim rights and other victim service programs.  The case manager will provide personal advocacy and legal advocacy, as well as court and medical accompaniment, as necessary.  The goal will be to manage the immediate crisis and also lay the groundwork for a more in-depth involvement with the Family Violence Project.  This position is a regional position and is expected to travel regularly through central Maryland to other program locations.

Grant Coordinator – Baltimore City

The Grant Coordinator position is responsible for support service functions in the areas of accounting, grants management, statistical reporting, record-keeping, invoicing/documentation, accounts payable, payroll processing/reporting, preparation of monthly/annual journal entries, various reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis. The position has significant responsibility to communicate internally and externally with staff, vendors, grantors and auditors. This position may be full-time or part-time in nature, depending on the need of the agency.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5 years of accounting experience in lieu of education.  Federal grant management and audit experience preferred.

Springboard Community Services (SCS) is seeking conscientious and detail-oriented interns to assist with data entry tasks at our Baltimore City office. Interns will work on a social service related project to include reviewing and cataloging a number of historical documents. A basic knowledge of MS Office applications is required. Hours and scheduling are flexible; however, interns will be expected to work at least 10 hours per week.

SCS is willing to participate with collegiate field placement programs.

 

Program Assistant – Carroll County Adult Day

 The Program Assistant is responsible in assisting the daily personal and social needs of the participants through creative development and recreational activities under the direction of the Program Manager.

Applicant must have High School diploma or GED and 6 months related experience. This position may require transporting clients and will require a current driver’s license with safe driving record and must be able to obtain DOT card to drive agency bus/vehicle.

 

Victim Advocate – Harford County

This position is a housed within the Harford County Child Advocacy Center but is expected to travel to other regional agency offices for meetings and trainings when requested.

Chief Executive Officer

F.T. was appointed Springboard Community Services as CEO in September of 2015 following a national search that yielded more than 200 candidates. Prior to joining SCS, he served for nearly 15 years as President & CEO of AIDS Interfaith Residential Services, Inc. / Empire Homes of Maryland. F.T.’s chief duties include leading fund and partnership development, cultivating the board of directors, and establishing the agency’s strategic direction and vision. A Florida native, F.T. enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending live music and dance performances.
