F.T. Burden, Springboard CEO appears on WBAL Radio

F.T. Burden, CEO of Springboard Community Services, appeared on WBAL Radio’s current affairs/news program with hosts Clarence Mitchell IV (C4) and Bryan Nehman to discuss the opening of the Youth Resource Center on Falls Road in Baltimore to assist Baltimore’s disengaged youth and youth adults ages 14 to 24. The YRC serves as a one-stop shop for youth to receive counseling, housing navigation, workforce training, and educational engagement plus food, hygiene items, and access to laundry and a shower facility. The YRC is a safe space that welcomes youth to drop in or attend scheduled programming.

F.T. was appointed Springboard Community Services as CEO in September of 2015 following a national search that yielded more than 200 candidates. Prior to joining SCS, he served for nearly 15 years as President & CEO of AIDS Interfaith Residential Services, Inc. / Empire Homes of Maryland. F.T.’s chief duties include leading fund and partnership development, cultivating the board of directors, and establishing the agency’s strategic direction and vision. A Florida native, F.T. enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending live music and dance performances.
