Medical Adult Day Care
Services are offered in Carroll County 7am – 3pm Mon-Fri
Caring for an older adult, particularly one who is experiencing signs of dementia, is an exhausting job. Springboard Medical Adult Day Care offers caregivers crucial relief from around-the-clock care. Our program couples expert medical oversight with carefully designed programming geared toward keeping elders — who do not require nursing home care but are too vulnerable for senior centers — cognitively stimulated as well as physically and socially active. Springboard Medical Adult Day Care also:
- Enables clients to live and function in their community with optimal independence
- Prevents premature or inappropriate institutionalization
- Helps participants maintain their capacity for self-care
- Includes meals, door-to-door transportation, and medication administration
Medically Focused Care
Springboard has developed a medical oversight program that allows us to collaborate with care providers and offers our clients with the individualized care and attention they need to thrive. Dedicated registered nurses provide medical oversight and support for individuals who may be experiencing physical and/or cognitive changes.
Memory Care
Our staff is experienced in providing a high level of care for clients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We provide a safe, secure environment with the appropriate level of stimulation for each of our clients and allow each individual to maintain their dignity.
Engaging Activities
Our clients benefit from the socialization and enjoyment that stems from a variety of engaging activities in our stimulating and structured environment. Daily activities, which include arts and music, light exercise routines, and spirited trivia games, are aimed at keeping clients active through body and mind.
Carroll County Location
Springboard offers one medical adult day care facility in Central Maryland. It is open 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Medicaid, VA benefits, and other financial assistance are available for those who qualify. We will assist you in obtaining funding to cover program costs.

Located in Westminster, Maryland, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Springboard Community Services Family Support Center is a licensed program through the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Springboard Community Services Family Support Center serves adults living throughout Carroll County by helping individuals maintain an optimal level of independence that allows him or her to live and function in the community. The intent of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Springboard Community Services Family Support Center is to prevent premature or inappropriate institutionalization and allow the individual to remain at home while aging in place.
By utilizing a flexible, multidisciplinary approach, the Family Support Center provides a program of socialization designed to respond to the psychological, social, physical, and economic needs of the participants. The focus is on enhancing the participant’s quality of life in his or her more dependent years. Our goal is to improve the participant’s quality of life, to provide assistance toward maintaining the participant’s capacity for self-care and personal hygiene, to stimulate and support the participant’s mental and physical capabilities, to improve social and interactional skills, and to offer respite to the caregiver.
