Julie began working at FCS in August of 2012 as a case manager for the SERVE Program, Services, Education and Resources for Vulnerable Elders. Her caseload was in Baltimore City, Howard and Anne Arundel County. She then moved into a role as a case manager for SCSEP, the Senior Community Services Employment Program that was operated in FCS Howard County office. After that, Julie worked for 2 years as the Program Assistant for the Foster Grandparents Program in Baltimore City. Since January of 2018, Julie has been a case manager in the Family Violence Program serving clients impacted by violence in Baltimore City and the county. As a case manager, Julie assists victims of violence by connecting them with community resources, attending meetings with them, helping with paperwork to get benefits/services and by listening to their worries. Julie is a graduate from Elon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Serivces. Julie has worked in the field for 25 years. At FCS, Julie shares that she has been given an opportunity to collaborate on so many levels with fellow co-workers and other areas in the agencies to learn the most effective way to help those vulnerable and in need.
