Kayla Lauer-Vogt

Position: DV Case Manager

Kayla Lauer-Vogt has been with FCS since August of 2018; she is a domestic violence case manager and oversees the Lethality Assessment program. In her role, Kayla offers short and long term support to victims of domestic violence. Case management mostly focuses on any goals that a victim may have. Some of the services that case management provides could be safety planning, court accompaniment, legal advocacy, referrals for counseling, emergency temporary shelter, connection to community resources, support groups and a safe space to process. With her work coordinating the Lethality Assessment Program, Kayla gets to work first hand with law enforcement; she receives screens completed by officers in Carroll County that are completed when an officer response to a domestic by the identified victim. The screen tells Kayla how much at risk for being killed by their partner the victim is. Kayla’s job is to connect to these victims to safety plan and support them. She also travels with officers on home visits to the victim’s homes with law enforcement officers as needed. Kayla has her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. During her education, she worked part-time at a DV shelter in Pennsylvania. Kayla enjoys being able to help people at their worst times. People come to FCS vulnerable and scared for their life; Kayla finds hope in helping those regain trust, safety, and security to get back on their feet.

F.T. was appointed Springboard Community Services as CEO in September of 2015 following a national search that yielded more than 200 candidates. Prior to joining SCS, he served for nearly 15 years as President & CEO of AIDS Interfaith Residential Services, Inc. / Empire Homes of Maryland. F.T.’s chief duties include leading fund and partnership development, cultivating the board of directors, and establishing the agency’s strategic direction and vision. A Florida native, F.T. enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending live music and dance performances.
