Nicole Jackman LCSW-C
Nicole has been in the Human Service field for 17 years after obtaining her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She has worked within a variety of settings and with diverse populations throughout her career, including private practice, inpatient psychiatric, emergency medicine, and non-profit agencies. Most recently, she was the Clinical Director of a residential program for pre-adjudicated youth, primarily serving the inner city population in hopes of providing them an opportunity to change their path. She worked the past 7.5 years in the residential setting and in this capacity she gained valuable experience in Assessments and Treatment Planning, Research based treatment and strategies, as well as Trauma Informed Care. While working with clients she strives to facilitate the change they want to make within themselves by providing support and empathy while using a honest and straight forward approach. She finds value in making the clients own their own progress to feel empowered and successful. Trust, effective communication and safety are critical in the therapeutic relationship and during sessions she assures all clients are treated with dignity and respect.
