Troy A.C. Butler joined the Springboard team in June 2020 as the Medication Management Care Coordinator at multiple locations. Troy was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, living there until joining the United States Air Force in 2007, when he left for basic military training in San Antonio, Texas. He then was assigned to Air Force Bases in Mississippi, Florida, New Jersey, and Maryland. As a Cardiopulmonary Lab Technician, Troy was tasked with performing diagnostic, as well as invasive procedures within the cardiology, pulmonary, catheterization lab, sleep lab, and respiratory therapy fields. During his nearly 10-year military career, Troy deployed to Afghanistan twice as a Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) Respiratory Therapist. Along with a Doctor and a nurse, this team was responsible for rapidly responding to critically injured U.S. troops & Allied Forces throughout Afghanistan. On arrival, the team assumed control of the injured party, and provided lifesaving medical care en route to the closest medical facility with surgical capabilities.
After the military, Troy continued in the healthcare field along the Florida Panhandle, where he managed multiple pain clinics & a medical training school. At this school, Troy also taught adults medical disciplines including Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, CPR, and First-Aid. Upon moving back home to Baltimore, Troy enrolled in a Healthcare Services Management Bachelor’s Degree program, set to graduate in Fall 2021. Troy has a sincere passion for helping people in need, and he will continue work on bettering the health of our communities.
