October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Throughout the month, Springboard Community Services, formerly known as Family and Children’s Services, makes an effort to raise awareness about domestic violence and work to end intimate partner violence.
Springboard’s Carroll County office plays an integral role in Central Maryland to empower victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and move them towards safety and self-sufficiency. The Carroll County and West Baltimore County offices work with individuals of all ages who are impacted by intimate partner violence. Case managers offer short and long-term assistance, which can include safety planning, court accompaniment, legal advocacy, referrals for counseling, emergency temporary shelter, connection to community resources, support groups, and a safe space to process.
