Springboard works daily to end child abuse

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, a time for us to encourage purposeful action to assist children and families in need, rather than just raising awareness.

Every day, Springboard’s clinicians, victim advocates, and case managers work to treat the root causes of abuse and promote the safety and well-being of children throughout Central Maryland.  The National Office of the Bureau of Children and families declared 2022’s theme as “Thriving Children and Families: Prevention With Purpose.” By making commitments to purposeful action, rather than just raising awareness,  the Springboard team can treat the root causes of maltreatment and promote the safety and well-being of children and families.

Throughout the month, Springboard’s staff will share tips and strategies to keep children safe and promote family well-being.
